We have a vacancy for the full-time role of Racing Manager.


The ideal candidate will be based in Scotland to plan, set-up and manage race meetings at; Ayr, Hamilton, Kelso, Musselburgh and Perth, and attend as supporting manager, when required, at Aintree Grand National; Cheltenham Festival and provide holiday/sickness cover, when necessary, at other racecourses in the North.


Working with the Head of Operations and individual racecourse managers you will plan the delivery of our betting operation and other services as required at each fixture.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving effective staffing levels
  • Maintaining a high standard of presentation & customer service from the team
  • Monitoring progress of turnover and transactions throughout each meeting, adapting in a pro-active manner to meet racecourse and customer expectations
  • Reporting End of Day records with recommendations for future events
  • Maintaining sufficient cash, stationery/consumables, and marketing materials for future events
  • Keeping the race-day team informed about initiatives; compliance requirements; incentives and achievements
  • Driving turnover of high margin products and Lucky Pick bets in line with company objectives
  • Encouraging and developing individuals within the team. and reporting feedback to the management team
  • Ensuring the core values of the business are upheld at all times
