Payroll/HR Administrator
Britbet is a partnership of 58 racecourses across the UK, delivering betting services to racegoers under the Britbet and Tote brands.
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our Head Office team in Liverpool, primarily supporting the Payroll, HR and Recruitment functions. The role will also be expected to offer support to other departments as and when appropriate.
Role duties
HR:
- Manage the HR inbox
- Generate and issue letters and paperwork as required for Head Office employees and On Course Casual team members
- Monitor Accident reporting and escalating where necessary
- Monitor Casual staff shifts worked to ensure individuals not working are not retained unnecessarily
- Monitor Casual staff working under visa restrictions to ensure all information held is accurate and all staff are working legally
- Collate and provide accurate and timely reporting data including attendance, wellbeing, Health and Safety/accidents, retention (starters and leavers)
- Support the Recruitment team with New Starter training and account creation across all systems ensuring new starters are added to payroll and paid for their training and hours worked accurately and in the correct monthly payroll
- Assist with annual audit data gathering
- Manage electronic personnel folders
- Manage the Head Office Benefits data, liaising with the portal provider to maintain accurate records
- General Comp and Bens support for the Head Office team including benchmarking, annual incentive admin.
- Support the Compliance team with mandatory on course training admin
- Manage Head Office training data and support the Head of HR with changes to UK legislation and associated documentation
- Provide support for ER issues including meeting notetaking where appropriate
- Updating Marketing systems with New Starter and Leavers on a monthly basis
- Other ad-hoc HR support when relevant
Payroll:
- Manage the Payroll Inbox
- Support the Payroll team with all data preparation and checking within the processing period including regular Wage Sheet checking for anomalies and errors and liaising with the relevant manager to correct before payroll
- Update payroll tracker and supporting documentation including payslip messages
- Issue P45 documents
- Verify and provide new starter data to Payroll
- Other ad-hoc payroll data support when relevant
What we are looking for

- A confident communicator with good customer service skills
- A Team Player, comfortable working alone and with other colleagues across departments
- A background in Administration, Payroll/HR preferable but not essential
